Terms of Use

GolfAppen is an aid that measures the time a flight spends between tee and green and sends friendly pace messages. It is not a referee, not a course authority, and does not replace the club’s own rules or staff on the course.

The app is designed to sit in your pocket. Do not use your phone in a way that disturbs play, safety or other players. Always follow the club’s instructions over the app’s.

Pace tracking depends on GPS, battery and network coverage. Accuracy varies with terrain, weather and phone model. Measurements may therefore be delayed, inaccurate or missing.

• GPS signal can be weak in forest, ravines or bad weather
• If the phone is off or the battery is empty, nothing is registered
• Without coverage, measurements are stored on the phone and sent once the network returns

The club enters courses, zones, par and expected timings, and is responsible for that data being correct. Misplaced zones produce wrong measurements, and GolfAppen cannot compensate for that.

Club and administrator accounts are personal. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts in case of misuse.

The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for loss, damage, delays, missed tee times or disputes on the course arising from use of — or errors in — the app.

Maps in GolfAppen are based on data and services from third parties. These providers are not behind GolfAppen and have no affiliation with the service — they only supply the map layers we draw the zones on.

We may update the service and these terms. For significant changes we update the date at the bottom of this page. Continued use counts as acceptance.
