Privacy Policy

As a player you do not need an account. We do not know who you are. We only know that "a flight" passed a tee and a green at given times.

• No name, email, score or handicap for players without an account
• Location is only used while a round is active
• We do not keep a tracking log — only the moment you were inside a zone

When you start a round we store:

• A random, anonymous device ID generated in your browser
• The tee time you selected and which course you play
• Timestamps when the flight is registered in a tee or green zone, plus the hole number
• Calculated pace (ahead, on time or behind)

Location is read at a low frequency while a round is active, and is used solely to decide whether you are inside a zone the club has defined. The coordinates themselves are not kept as a route or a map of where you walked. Rounds end automatically, and measurement stops.

You can withdraw location access in your phone settings at any time. Pace tracking then stops working, but the rest of the app still works.

If you allow notifications we store a technical subscription (an anonymous address from Apple or Google) so we can send short pace messages. We never use it for marketing. Turn notifications off in your phone settings and the subscription can be deleted.

Club staff and administrators have accounts. For them we store email address, role, club affiliation and the course, zone and timing data they enter. This is required to operate the service.

Data is stored in our cloud database operated within the EU/EEA. Access is restricted so that a club only sees its own courses and rounds.

Player round data is kept for up to 12 months, and after that only in anonymised, aggregated form (average times per hole). Account data is kept while the account is active and deleted when the account is deleted.

We do not sell data. Clubs see pace at flight level — not individuals. We use subprocessors for hosting, email and push delivery, and they process data on our instructions.
